Airport plumbing
estimates.
Airport construction demands the highest standard of hydraulic estimating — airside security compliance, live terminal operations, airline brand standards, prestige lounge fitouts and major terminal expansion works all in a single project environment. SNZ has delivered at Perth Airport across three separate engagements.
"Three separate Perth Airport engagements — terminal expansion, airline fitout and prestige lounge. SNZ has demonstrated airport hydraulic capability at every level of complexity."
The most demanding
construction environment.
Airport construction is unlike any other construction environment. Security clearances, airside access restrictions, live terminal operations, aircraft movement constraints and aviation authority approvals all create a construction environment where costs are higher, programmes are tighter and compliance requirements are stricter than any other building type.
A hydraulic estimate that ignores those constraints will be wrong from day one. Night works, restricted access windows, noise curfews, security escort requirements and live passenger operations all have a direct cost impact that must be built into the estimate — not identified as a variation once the contract is signed.
SNZ has estimated airport hydraulics across terminal expansions, airline fitouts and prestige airline lounges — three fundamentally different airport construction contexts, all at Perth Airport. See our broader government and infrastructure credentials and commercial estimating for related experience.
Three engagements.
One airport.
Paraburdoo is one of Australia's most remote mine sites — extreme heat, no council water main, no council sewer, no local suppliers. The airport terminal was being demolished and rebuilt with apron widening, and every hydraulic system had to be entirely self-contained, compliant with Rio Tinto's own rigorous engineering standards — built for the demands of remote, high-consequence mining infrastructure.
Rio Tinto's specifications required PE100 PN20 HSCR crack-resistant pipe throughout (not standard PN16), stainless steel for all exposed pipe, flanged fittings at 50mm and above, and all stop valves and RPZDs to Rio Tinto standard. Craneage, freight and remote site logistics all had to be factored into the estimate.
Full hydraulic estimate covering fire services (2 × 216KL tanks), hot and cold water, stormwater, trade waste, 2 sewer pump stations, sewer treatment plant, ~500m sewer rising main, 6 hot water units, circulating pumps, TMVs and RPZDs.
Wastewater treatment compound: 6 WWTP septic tanks at 20.7KL each plus 3 effluent holding tanks at 25KL each — tanks supplied by client, installed by the plumbing contractor. This was a genuinely complex, high-consequence scope — estimated in full, to Rio Tinto's exacting standard.
Complete off-grid hydraulic estimate for a Rio Tinto airport redevelopment in remote WA — every system self-contained, every pipe to Rio Tinto spec, craneage and freight included. One of SNZ's most technically demanding airport hydraulic estimates — delivered in full.
Full hydraulic estimate for the Perth Airport Terminal 2 expansion — one of SNZ's most significant airport credentials. Complete terminal hydraulic package including all cold and hot water services, sanitary drainage, stormwater and specialist airport hydraulic systems across the expanded terminal footprint. Delivered to Perth Airport authority standards in a live operational terminal environment.
Full hydraulic estimate for the Jetstar Perth T2 Level 1 relocation — crew sign-on facilities, two briefing rooms, crew lounge, kitchenette and all associated hydraulic services. Estimated via BGIS — Australia's leading airport facilities management operator — to Jetstar's airline fitout standard.
Full hydraulic estimate for the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge at Perth Airport — one of Asia's most prestigious airline lounges. Premium hospitality hydraulics including bar services, kitchen drainage, premium amenities and all hydraulic services to Singapore Airlines' international brand standard.
Every airport hydraulic
scope and fitout type.
"We've been incredibly impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism of SNZ. Quick to respond, thorough in their work, and consistently reliable. Their attention to detail has made a real difference to our workflow. We see them as a valuable long-term partner."
"Worth every penny. SNZ estimated a large commercial hydraulic, civil & fire package in SA on a tight timeline. Within 24 hours they had started on our quote. Their detailed estimate provided everything we needed to fill in the tender documents with ease."
"Shoaib and the team went over and above to deliver in a tight timeframe. Everything was detailed and communication was 10/10. The breakdown was very thorough and transparent covering all aspects of the job. Will definitely be using SNZ on future projects."
Why contractors choose SNZ
for airport projects.
Airport hydraulic estimating sits at the intersection of government infrastructure, live operational environments and Tier 1 contractor procurement. Perth Airport T2 Expansion, Jetstar T2 Relocation and the SilverKris Lounge — three separate scopes, three different clients, all within the same live terminal environment. SNZ has the experience to price airport work correctly.
Airport hydraulic work carries cost premiums that standard commercial estimating will not capture — airside access, security inductions, terminal protection costs, out-of-hours working and aviation authority approvals all add cost that an inexperienced estimator will miss entirely. SNZ prices every one of these items from the first line item. Meet the team behind every estimate.
Every airport project timeline is confirmed at the start of engagement. Airport construction programmes are fixed by terminal operations — we confirm your turnaround upfront and meet it every time.
