These terms apply to this website and the free calculators on it. Paid estimating work is governed by the fee proposal and engagement terms we issue for that job. Where those terms and these terms differ, the fee proposal prevails.

1. The calculators are indicative only

The calculators on this site produce indicative figures from generalised benchmark rates and standard assumptions. They are not a quotation, an offer, an estimate, or professional advice, and they are not prepared for your specific project.

They do not account for your site, access, ground conditions, programme, procurement, subcontractor pricing, or the contract documents you are tendering against. Benchmark rates change and the figures shown may be out of date.

2. No warranty

This website and its calculators are provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no representation and give no warranty, express or implied, that any content, figure or output on this site is accurate, complete, current, fit for any purpose, or suitable for any project.

Nothing on this website constitutes a representation or warranty about the estimating services we provide under a separate engagement. Estimates we prepare under engagement are professional opinions based on the documents supplied to us at the time, and are subject to the terms of that engagement.

3. No reliance

You use this website and its calculators at your own risk and on your own judgement. You accept that you do not rely, and are not entitled to rely, on any figure or statement on this website in making any commercial decision.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SNZ Plumbing Estimating Pty Ltd, its directors, employees and contractors are not liable for any loss, cost, expense, claim or damage of any kind — including underquoting, overquoting, lost profit, lost opportunity, loss of contract, or any indirect or consequential loss — arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or reliance on this website or its calculators, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability may be limited but not excluded, our total liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

5. Your responsibility

You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any figure you use is correct for your project, and for complying with the standards, codes and authority requirements that apply to your work.

6. Content and intellectual property

The content, calculators and underlying logic on this site belong to SNZ Plumbing Estimating Pty Ltd. You may use them for your own estimating. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, republish or resell them, or use them to build a competing tool.

7. Third-party links

We link to standards bodies, authorities and suppliers. We do not control those sites and take no responsibility for them.

8. Changes

We may change these terms at any time. The version published when you use the site is the version that applies to that use.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
